The City of Hamilton should…

The City of Hamilton should be allowed to develop this site for low income and mixed use housing. There is no excuse for the railroad to hide behind their concern for the future residents when Toronto downtown is filled with expensive condos built over their tracks.

The city should not have forced people from those homes, nor should they have expropriated those who lived in low cost housing to make room for the unnecessary LRT. These decisions have contributed to the homelessness crisis we are experiencing in Hamilton.

As a taxpayer struggling to stay in my home the fact that the city has wasted millions in trying to negotiate with CN is enfuriating - and it needs to stop.

Please do the right thing and order the railroad to allow the city to go forward.
