I strongly oppose this. It is worded that it will positively promote tourism that I doubt is in the best interests of the town, or the people of Ontario. Ontario has said it is a goal to have more public beach access, not less, and I assume these lands would be sold for private development, which would not increase the tourists wanting to come and enjoy the beach. In my experience, the beach is packed as it is. It is likely bad for the environment and many animal species. In addition, it will set a dangerous precedent taking away the law that protects all of our provincial parks, which is deeply concerning. We want more public access and not to sell our provincial parks to private developers. Please protect our precious provincial parks and stop this proposal!
