This sounds like a terrible idea! Once public land is gone, it’s gone.

We should preserve our publicly owned natural areas to preserve public access for generations, for the benefit and use of all people, not just those who can afford to pay a premium for it. We also need areas off limits from private development in order to preserve and protect the many species that call the land home.

In an age of environmental crisis and shocking wealth inequality, selling off these lands would be a step backwards, not forwards, for our collective futures and present wellbeing.
