It is absolutely essential that the land at Wasaga Beach remain in the hands of the Province. Wasaga Beach has been home to a significant number of endangered piping plover adults and fledglings for nearly two decades, and it is vital that this land be protected so that their population may continue to move towards an upward trajectory. Engaging in conservation and environmental protection does not take away from humans - we CAN coexist with our more-than-human neighbors such as the piping plovers, and these birds’ presence and safety enhances this natural area.
