The Ford government needs to understand that they did not win a majority of voters. The majority of Ontario citizens, even the most conservative, do not want protected park land bequeathed to developer friends.
This is pure corruption.
Surely there are other areas that are less environmentally sensitive that can be developed for housing.
Plus, this will not solve the housing problem.
Developers build homes that people don't want, or can afford, to buy. Developers build shoebox condos or mansions. Nothing in between.
From Ontario Place, Bill 5, Greenbelt, bike lanes, Hwy 413 everything about this government is about helping developers and not about helping the citizens of this province, or protecting the future of this province.
