We are vehemently opposed to turning over Ontario managed (under Ontario Parks) land over to the town of Wasaga Beach. The administration practically gave prime beachfront land away for a song recently, with zero transparency, feedback from the public. They hired an appraiser who told them what the land was worth, and still took a pittance - 10% of the appraised value. Wasaga Beach is not in a duress sale situation, whey they didn't tender more offers for the land to at least prove it was not something 'they couldn't give away' reveals the avarice of the Mayor and it's council who supported this deal. Do not allow this land to be transferred, it will not be managed properly, will be sold off for next to nothing, and this land belongs to the town people, the community, to Ontarians, and will never be cared for properly. The Mayor will simply see it as a means to line his own pockets with it.
