This proposal will leave Piping Plovers and other vulnerable flora and fauna without sufficient protection from unchecked development due to bill C5. This region is Ontarios best nesting ground for this endangered species. We must do all we can to protect our habitats from this encroachment to avoid further climate related harm and the loss of an endangered species.
Plovers being endangered warrant automatic protection from the government and are very vulnerable to human development. This region should be left untouched to avoid further impact to their environment and subsequently likelihood of survival.
