Wasaga Beach is the longest freshwater beach in the world. Take a moment to let that sink in.... I have enjoyed swimming at Wasaga beach in my teenage years and now that I have moved to Wasaga, I feel really privileged to be part of this community. Yes, I am not from this area, but I now pay taxes and I appreciate the beauty and the ecological importance of preserving this amazing dune environment. An amazing natural resource that exists and is available to all of us to enjoy. I understand the need for commercial progress, but we need to tread lightly. The ecological significance cannot be underplayed. We really need to think long and hard about how we proceed.
