I urge you to ensure that the transfer of lands from the Government of Ontario the Town of Wasaga Beach includes conditions that ensure that critical habitat for Piping Plovers continue to be protected. Conditions should include creating a Piping Plover protection management plan in consultation with credible scientific experts such as Birds Canada.
We must ensure that the few areas in the world remaining for this endangered species do not disappear.
