It is essential that the entirety of Wasaga Beach remains under the care of the park. Provincial Parks were designated as such because of the importance of the beauty, wildlife and natural landscapes that need protection from development so people can enjoy visiting this natural beach for decades or centuries to come. Wasaga Provincial Park is a destination for thousands, and this beach is a cherished tradition for many and development for tourism could actually inhibit many from going. I know that my family enjoys this stretch of shore not having manmade amenities or worse, luxury condos, and so the city would lose our business should the nature of this change. There are many species, such as the plovers, that will also struggle with this and their habitats are already dwindling. Do not reduce the protections of the current bounds of this park, or we will all see heartbreaking effects and it will be too late to undo the harm afterwards.
