I am disgusted DISGUSTED by this proposal! Beyond that, I am also baffled. To the point that I barely know how to put words to it. Why is this proposal even being suggested?? Are we truly so stupid as a society and a species that we still have not learned how delicate and precious nature is?? Why do some of, many of us, have to keep protesting and begging and grieving? There’s no excuse for this short sighted small minded proposal now and if we continue down this path there will be no excuse when the children of the future ask us what happened to the piping plover and the Blanding’s turtle and rosy-sided dace, and all the other species whose homes this government is so keen on destroying. Leave this protected space alone! We have already taken enough space from Mother Nature. Anyone who thinking this proposal is a step in the right direction should be deeply ashamed and have a real good think about their priorities in life.
