I reject the notion that the responsibility of Wasaga Beach should be transferred from MECP to MTCG entirely. The importance of the biodiversity and animals that rely entirely on Wasaga Beach for survival should not be understated. Much tourism is already derived from naturalists across Canada and internationally to visit Wasaga Beach. It is ecologically and economically irresponsible, not just to the beach, but to the town who will then have to maintain it.
