I am a resident from the Toronto area and often use the subject lands for rock climbing. I support this updated management plan for Devil's Glen, in particular its express approval of the subject lands for rock climbing. This will improve access, environment management, as well as safety for all users of the land.

To further that, I think an appropriate rock climbing guidance document should be prepared from Parks Ontario in general. As with all outdoor spots, rock climbing has lots of nuances. For example, in BC (attached link below) there are detailed management plans specific to rock climbing. In the updated management plan for Devil's Glen as proposed, the mention of Rock Climbing is comparatively brief.

I hope we can continue the dialogue between the province and climbing community to preserve natural areas and allow more residents to enjoy nature so they too can become proponents for conservation.
