I have seen first hand the effects of the fast growing population of Cormorants on the Ottawa river near Rockland On. Growing up around here, we never saw any cormorants. This tells me that they are expanding their range and fast! It is high time that we can cull the population as the devastation they cause is enormous. They eat large quantities of bait fish and deplete the feed for other species of fish and birds, like the ospreys and bald eagles ( now residing around Rockland).
I am all for this proposed cull.
