I oppose, in the strongest terms possible, the proposal to establish a hunting season for cormorants in Ontario. Opening the door to the slaughter of an entire species is beyond horrifying. In an era when we are waking up to the devastation and suffering that humans have been inflicting on our fellow inhabitants of this planet, the heartlessness of this proposal is particularly loathsome. Stop trying to solve what you perceive to be an imbalance in nature by obliterating countless individuals who are just trying to live their lives. Cruelty is never the only alternative.
