bike lanes need to be encouraged rather than widening or adding lanes for cars. Cars are great for inter city travel but within the cities, public transit and environment friendly modes of commuting need to be encouraged. I strongly oppose the notion to override the municipal legislation for local traffic. Municipalities need to be in control of the transit options . Decentralization is the key to democracy.
