I do not support this Bill. This is an over reach of provincial government power in municipal affairs. Lire davantage

As a renter in Toronto who relies on transit and biking to commute, I oppose restrictions on building new bike lanes. They save lives. We cannot solely focus on car infrastructure when developing our cities.

This bill proposes to remove the security of tenure, impact the ability to support active transit options in Ontario and remove the climate change initiatives that have real long term implications for Ontarians. Lire davantage

When has creating more car lanes been helpful in aiding any city congestion? It only creates more congestion and makes our streets less enjoyable for pedestrians. Lire davantage

This political agenda is complete Hogwash and punishes people who don't have cars. Ford manages to overlook the fact that more cars = more congestion, just so he can suit his own personal agenda. Lire davantage

This will be detrimental to Ontario cyclists. Clearly the provincial government cares more about the possibility of saving drivers a few seconds, than the lives of cyclists in their cities. Do you know what reduces traffic? Less cars on the road. Lire davantage

Leave our bike lanes alone. I am disgusted at Doug ford’s leadership and his constant attacks at our city’s ability to make our own decisions at local level. The province should not control whether we are allowed to build bike lanes or not. Lire davantage

I strongly am against this act as removing or not adding bike lanes in Toronto will continuing to prioritize cars over people and is holding the city back. Lire davantage

I seriously implore any relevant governmental members to seek out the research and findings that have come from road diets (the reorganization of a road to better fit it's needs). Lire davantage

Please remove this from the bill. This is terrible policy, for the safety of everyone, cyclists or not. As this study shows (https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/05/190529113036.htm), installing cycling lanes reduces fatalities, not only for cyclists, but also pedestrians and motorists. This is ridiculous and I do not support it. We've just been through this with Bill 212. We know that bike lanes save lives and fight congestion. Why is our government wasting time, effort, and money on something that isn't based on any evidence, again. Lire davantage

As a driver, I prefer when bicycles have their own separated lanes. We can't stop people from cycling, and we all need to share the road. Its safer for everyone if they have their own lanes.

It is nonsensical to claim there are positive environmental implications to this proposal. Yes, traffic congestion is a major source of air pollution. Lire davantage

Bike lanes work, they provide people who do not own a car, typically lower income people another way to get around the city without the need to pay for a vehicle or very high insurance rates we're all familiar with in the city. Lire davantage

Bike lanes have been a great addition to the safety of Ontarians including myself. It makes it so much easier having a safe and separate route for them to travel, that doesn't impinge on the visible area of cars. Lire davantage
