I feel the consolidation of conservation authorities is harmful, I feel
this way because in the current system the conservation authorities are local and have a better understanding of the area and the people using each site. a consolidated conservation authority will take away from that and create a disconnect between the users of the parks and the conservation authorities as well as creating a position where decisions may be made about the conservation areas without truly knowing or understanding the impacts that will have on the surrounding community as well as the priorities for conservation in that area.
