This proposal is a change in the wrong direction. Conservation Authorities by definition are watershed delineated geographic areas that are managed ecologically, socially, culturally, and economically addressing the specific hazards and restoration efforts of said geographic area.
Amalgamation will NOT streamline nor improve the service delivery of these valuable 36 authorities. Niche research and knowledge per CA will be lost at the cost of this program.
