We must increase commercial rental unit supply. Many units are at least 70 years old with faulty plumbing, lighting, etc.
It is too costly to start a small business. Many people want to quit their mind numbing 9-5 and create their own enterprise. High rental fees are a significant barrier to this. It would be beneficial to create commercial units across from every TTC station. There’s large amounts of open and unused space around Finch West, York University station. Businesses can use that space to create jobs and economic growth. Please be ambitious to incentivize builders to create residential and commercial spaces. More competition will Lowe costs for consumers as well. We all will take part in rebuilding and expanding the GTHA. Thank you for reading!
