I support the City of Sault…

I support the City of Sault Ste. Marie's resolution that the proposed northern Ontario regional conservation authorities don't align with the watershed boundaries.

The local conservation authority plays an important role in ensuring the lands they manage are free to use for multiple purposes. They are an efficient operation that provides excellent service delivery to the Sault Ste. Marie area.

The Province should not be forcing such a move when in fact the authority is 69% funded at a municipal level and only 7% provincially.

Please do not proceed with the proposed amalgamation.
