As a citizen of Ontario I strongly disagree with this positional. Our conservation authorities are the backbones of our communities and provide value able services to each and every one of us.
I live in Northern Ontario and strong oppose this proposal that would see my watershed protection merged with an authority that is hundreds of kilometres away and who staff likely have not even been to our region.
This proposal is another way to reduce oversight to allow for destructive practices against our homeland to will harm Ontario citizens for generations to come. I strongly recommend this bill be withdrawn.
