I do not support this Bill in the slightest. Great strides have been made in the past by taking away power from and dismantling the OMB and replacing it with LPAT. Developers just used OMB as a non-democratic way to push their developments forward regardless of the opinions and wishes of the people most affected by their developments. This bill, in effect, returns an unreasonable amount of power to developers and provides a vehicle by which they can do whatever the hell they want, regardless of the good of the environment, the municipality, and the people who reside in the municipality. Any government that pushes this forward will face dis-engaging previous supporters and pay for it in the next election.
Being open for business should not mean completely disregarding established municipal strategic and official plans.
