Bill 66 is a solution looking for a problem. In the course of advocating for that solution, drastic reductions in the safety and security of Ontario's groundwater resources will be degraded. A robust Walkerton inquiry was conducted following the Walkerton Tragedy leading to the passage of the Clean Water Act. Expressly allowing municipalities to disregard protections to their groundwater resources in favor of big business is irresponsible and reckless.
