Ontario is already "open for business." The current regulatory framework works to ensure that Ontarians, present and future, are protected and able to enjoy a high quality of life. The current regulatory framework ensures that our environment (natural habitats, cultural and archaeological resources) are protected by a rigorous planning framework. The proposed changes in Bill 66 will erode this minimum standard of protection. Bill 66 should be defeated.
