Subject: Request to revise the Proposed Amendment

Dear Mr. Doug Ford,

This is with reference to the Proposed Amendment 1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. It is hereby notified that the suggested amendment #2.2.7.2 under section “2.2.7 Designated Greenfield Areas,” is not appropriate and would recommend to revise the amendment as below:
Instead of setting the criteria to designate the greenfield area based on minimum density target per number of residents and jobs per hectare, it is requested to remove the jobs restriction and keep the criteria limited to number of residents only.
The reason being; greenfield areas is the basic need for every human to maintain the healthy well being and lead healthy life. This is the government responsibility to look after the basic rights of every individual regardless if he/she has job or not. The consideration for job may hinder the access of healthy lifestyle to the common man.
