I am very concerned about the weakening of oversight that this proposal could lead to, as well as making it easier for businesses and individuals to harm fragile ecosystems. It would make more sense for the government to concentrate on expanding the implementation and enforcement of our current laws rather than overhauling protections in a way that helps businesses get around their obligations to protect our natural heritage.
