I don’t agree with the creation of the new authority to decide on services such as libraries, day cares etc. especially in Brampton. Brampton has very high property taxes as it is already and is extremely housing dense. What Brampton needs is more of these services throughout communities/ neighborhoods and the injection of more businesses( larger organizations not strip malls). If this bill will add more homes to what’s already planned, I cannot support this bill. Brampton needs other types of development structures... not just houses. Making decision making faster seems like a plus as it either saves tax payer $$ or increases employment in the City. Taxes should not be increased for this purpose. We need to see better decision making from our representatives and elected officials.
