Ontario bring "open for business" does not mean allowing multinational corporations to resell our resources for next to nothing.
This proposal states that the fee collected merely "helps" offset the costs to the government (taxpayer). Does this mean we are actually subsidising companies like Nestlé to take and sell our fresh water??
I don't think the average Ontario citizen wants to sell our water at all. But if this is imposed on us, where's our share of the profits? Bottled water is a multi-billion dollar industry. Where's our cut?
Ban the farming of our precious resource, or increase fees to a rate that would be more inline with what the private sector would charge for a value commodity such as fresh water.
