1) i don't see any requirement for those that use our forests to rebuild them. Will the price we charge for the wood cover all of the costs for research and rejuvenation? It MUST.
You don't mention what regulatory burdens will be reduced. If Environmental assessments are to be reduced, that is a step in the wrong direction. We are still cleaning up mistakes from the past mill debacles that poisoned the water for indigenous communities.
Ontario used to be the equivalent of the Amazon forest. It sounds like you want our forests to be the same as the Amazon - dwindling until no longer a valuable means of creating O2. I don't see how wood can be increased in construction, unless you ban the use of metal in home wall construction (which supports another industry). If you want to increase the use of wood for heating, then you have to mandate filters to clean the smoke that results. Filters for fireplaces were being created in the early '90s by a Canadian for use in fireplaces in Nordic countries. I don not recall ever seeing these filters in Canada. Failure to use the filters will result in more greenhouse gases which is POLLUTION and has a harmful impact on our way of existing.
