Why is this being proposed. In our area North of Parry Sound, the Bear population is almost gone. If it is driven by Hunting organizations, it needs to be based on population of bears in specific area. If an area is overpopulated by bears for specific reasons, then the MNR should set up a culling season specific to that area with restrictions as to who and how many can be shot.
