Black Bears are a vital member of Ontario's ecosystems, and need to maintain their populations so our environment can thrive. Please, I and all those who work, teach, do research in environmental sustainability and who enjoy our beautiful Ontario nature urge you, the Ontario government, to shorten the spring hunting season and end the fall hunting season. This is an unnecessary hunting season, and is so harmful to both their population, their future growth and sustainability, and the future of Ontario parks and wildlife.
