I will continue to speak out…

I will continue to speak out against the spring bear hunt for as long as I need to in order to get the message out. We can't continue to point fingers at other countries like Africa for their cruel and unnecessary safari hunts while continuing to bait bears; especially in the spring when they are such an easy target as they are hungry and have just come out of hibernation - often with cubs in tow - and naturally go for the bait hunters put out while the hunters sit in wait to gun them down. Imagine if this was your family and your parent was gunned down in front of you, leaving you as a young child to starve?This is sickening to me and I'm sure I'm not alone in my opinions. Canada has to get with the program and start considering how they treat their wildlife. Wild animals are not just a money-making commodity! They have a right to live their lives in peace as long as they are not posing a threat to us. I am so disappointed in a government that would even consider reinstating this deplorable hunt. I'm ashamed to call myself a Canadian (and specifically an Ontarian) if this goes through.
