This does not sound like a good proposal for our neighbourhood and area. There are many homes in close proximity to this site. As well, there is a beautiful recreational area right beside it. There is no direct access to a major Highway. Transportation of the product there would mean driving huge truck through residential neighbourhoods. No matter what reassurances are given, we all know that this facility would stink. This would be in addition to the already stinky sewage disposal facility that is in the area. There are lots of other industrial areas in the province, less populated and closer to major highways that could be used for the facility. As well I'm sure there are many communities that would welcome a facility that brings in jobs. It is really not necessary and definitely not wanted in this highly populated family community. I would urge our MPP to advocate for the benefit of this community and make sure that this facility is not built here. We do not need the pollution of the air, the scarring of the landscape, the awful odours that will occur, the heavy trucks with the added pollution and noise, and the extra traffic on our residential streets. So, in summary, my concerns are: Pollution; Proximity to homes; Scarring of the lakeside landscape; Nearby recreational beach; Distance away from Highway through residential streets; Additional stinky facility to sewage plant; We don't need the jobs here; Added traffic; Added noise from trucks; Added Pollution from Trucks.
