To Whom it may Concern:

We have lived in this area for almost 22 years and our children attended the local schools. When they went to Joseph Howe senior public I was worried every day about them crossing Port Union Road. It is so busy it is already like a freeway. (Neighbourhood people can't believe they are widening it as we all feel it is busy enough and only benefits those from the 905 area code - but that is another issue altogether!!!) How much busier will Port Union Road be if many more trucks will be transporting waste from the treatment plant???

Also, we walk along the Colonel Danforth trail almost daily and the odour from the plant ruins what is otherwise a wonderful place to live and breathe. How much worse will this odour be if production is ramped up at the plant????
