Our neighbourhood is not a dumping ground. The noise pollution and environmental pollution of this proposal poses a significant risk to our health and well being. West Hill is a family-oriented residential neighbourhood.

Many young families sprawl this neighbourhood, and the long term effects of exposure to toxic material and noise pollution is a serious concern. Conversely, the older members of the community will be vulnerable to the poor quality of air from the gas emitted from the plant.

As a public health professional, I urge the government to reconsider this proposal and the impact this will have on our built environment. Higher volume of large trucks in and out of our residential neighbourhood also posses potential danger to community members and small children playing and walking on the streets.
