This facility does not belong in a residential area! The proposed location is an older industrial park, located in where it is now long before the city grew! (Note the old Johns Manville plant wasn't that far away). The existing chemical industries are grandfathered, but no new polluters should be allowed.
I also find the supposed traffic study to be insulting! Trucks entering and leaving the community 7 days a week... and it only looks at a couple of intersections buried in the community! No review of the path to HWY 401 and the number of schools and residential streets to be used. The speed limit on Lawrence is 50 K/H, and there are only 3 commercial entry points (at Port Union and Bennet) making Lawrence in this area a residential street!
I support the concept of this plant, but it must be located in new outlying commercial areas.
