This facility is situated close to Lake Ontario and will more than double the number of large trucks full of waste daily going through our residential neighbourhoods, adding over 200 truck trips per day 24/7. Given that this passes through a residential area since the highway exit is multiple kilometres away, the noise pollution would be excessive given the proximity to schools, houses etc. Furthermore, the air pollution of the garbage being brought into the plant and the emissions of the trucks themselves would further pollute the air of a part of the city that already has poor air quality. I hope this project is rejected and placed in an another area, closer to a highway and further from residential neighbourhoods.
