Polls show that Ontarians overwhelmingly support and our passionate about protecting our Greenbelt. I am sure many, like me, wish to expand the greenbelt to stop urban sprawl and protect our quality of life.
It’s time to include headwaters of watersheds which were excluded from the greenbelt earlier that are under the threat of development.
I would like to see the entire northeast Pickering and northwest Whitby area included to protect Carruthers Creek in Ajax.
Another area that needs to be included is the boundary between Courtice and Bowmanville. The Highway 418 link between Highway 401 and 407 has caused devastation to the Black-Farewell wetlands so what remains must be protected.
