I am in favour of expansion…

I am in favour of expansion of the Green Belt. However, it should never be used to water down more stringent protections provided by various Municipalities in affected areas.
I am very concerned that this proposal is a political gambit to distract from other extremely damaging policies and legislation implemented and proposed by this government.
We should always view protections with a lens of long term climate resilience. We desperately need protections now for present and future citizens of this province.
Ecologically sensitive areas like wetlands and moraines, as well as farmland once paved over are lost forever.
