RE: ERO number 019-3471: Eliminating Renewable Energy Requirements
Climate targets cannot be met without prioritizing renewable energy sources:
The International Energy Agency has set out a pathway to reach net zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050. The pathway is "narrow, but brings huge benefits".

It is incumbent on the government of Ontario to stay abreast of developments in tackling the climate change emergency. Ontario could be a leader in renewable energy development, with benefits including:
Employment opportunities in clean energy
Health benefits with less air pollution
Lower electricity bills
Attracting investors in clean energy industries
This requires prioritizing the development and use of renewable energy sources. Investments must be made in wind and solar energy.
Ontario must prioritize development and investment in a clean energy future.
The above noted proposal does the opposite of what is needed. It is a backwards move for Ontario.
