It is impossible to believe that a responsible government would give this proposal any attention what so ever.
The pollution issues are staggering.
Dumping unqualified material next to our exposed water tables is complete folly.
I understand that we have an issue with too much recyclable material available for our needs and the aggregate industries desire to make money off the problem, but storing the product and potentially grinding the materials in areas that are now sensitive to our overall well being is not the answer.
Change the rules to allow additional recycling materials into new construction to reduce the product on hand.
Change the rules to monitor all trucks to and from demolition sites to ensure tracking of toxic or potentially toxic recyclable can be tracked.
Actually penalize operators who flout our laws instead of scolding them for their bad behaviour.
We need these measure and more in place BEFORE we give that industry carte blanche on storing and processing these materials.
