The abolishment of the cap and trade system is going to disrupt many environmentally sustainable initiatives that were funded by this approach. How will companies be compensated for the unused credits they have earned? Without this incentive to reduce carbon emissions how will industry be held accountable for its environmental practices? No alternative to cap and trade has been presented!! This government appears to be in denial about the urgent need to address climate change.
