I support the Cap and Trade…

I support the Cap and Trade program.

I do not support Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018.

It will cost me, a tax payer, in settlements to businesses that will sue the province over the shutting down of the Cap and Trade program. It is already impacting school boards that used the funds from the cap and trade to make needed upgrades to facilities in such a manner as to ultimately save money. As a trustee for the OCDSB in witnessed the 4 million dollars from the Cap and Trade/Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund that we had in our budget disappear with no acknowledgment from the province of how the OCDSB would come up with that money.
Please make sure the Premier's staff knows that I am against Bill 4 as I don't want to hear Doug Ford say everyone is for Bill 4. I know that many people are against Bill 4.

Bill 4 is short sighted and will have near, mid and long term negative consequences.
