This proposal is not a viable solution to the housing crisis. Instead of building more homes IN THE GREENBELT the government needs to consider high density housing, or limit ownership so that corporations can't buy up thousands of homes. Properties in addition to your primary residence should be taxed at a higher rate so that there are homes available for first time home buyers and not going to landlord or for airbnbs. Also rent should be capped so that it can't exceed the cost of the mortgage payment.
