This proposal is a terrible idea, the Green belt is protected for a reason. Without it, we are left with very little standing in between us and climate change. The new housing built will be pointless if it’s destroyed in a flood. There is so much under utilized space in the province that would make more sense to develop. We should be building up the structures already in place.
This amendment would make Ontario a worse place to live, in terms of appearance and functionality.
Nobody except for the developers who will take advantage of the last bit of green we have will benefit from this.
