I believe that repealing this act is irresponsible. As a Geography student at Trent University I am aware of the processes that enhance global warming and the measures needed to be put in place to slow down those processes. A cap and trade system is necessary for companies to reduce their dependence on CO2 emissions. This is not expensive for the public at all as those who emit, pay. The PC government has no plan to replace the cap and trade system with an alternative plan. Repealing this act will deter green investments and will limit our nations ability to meet emission goals.
