Are you kidding me?
First, you keep trying to ram through legislation to allow you to develop the greenbelt, back down because of public pressure, then wait until you think no one else is looking to try it again.
The Greenbelt is a permanently protected area of green space, farmland, forests, wetlands, and watersheds - this protects our air, and protects us from flooding...and you want to build on it?
So when developers get paid and build all these poorly made houses that sell for 1.2M each and flood every 5-10 years, who is winning here? Well, it isn't the people of Ontario. It's another mess better political parties will have to spend decades cleaning up after.
Then you blame immigrants who aren't even here yet as to why we HAVE to develop the greenbelt. Sorry, it isn't "immigrants" as to why housing is unaffordable. We build more condos and new build houses across this province but due to greed NO ONE CAN AFFORD THEM.
Housing should be a right not an investment, how can housing be affordable if the supply keeps getting snapped up by investors? The past decade has shown it has nothing to do with supply so go ahead and destroy the greenbelt for short term gain it's what your party does. Consume and leave us to clean up the mess.
