To whom it may concern

I am writing to provide our families feedback on the FORD HOUSING INITIATIVE that was announced last week as well as comments on the 15 Parcels of land that have been identified to be removed from the Greenbelt for use of construction of residential affordable housing etc. We are from the ajax , Ontario area and we have seen the mapping of the land that is proposed to be removed from the Greenbelt on KINGSTON ROAD and HIGHWAY 401. We are in the strong opinion that those are not the most suitable lands to be sued for affordable residential housing within a Greenbelt area. The reason for this is that it is on KINGSTON ROAD and HIGHWAY 401 and would be most useful in the future for Employment lands and other commercial uses - the other is that services and other amenities are not easily available in that area - We feel that their is a large track of lands that we drive by everyday along Audley Road going north of Kingston Road and South of Rossland Road and Lakeridge Road - across from the existing massive residential subdivisions - the existent Ajax downs and casino - seconds from Highway 412 - full available services to start building and developing homes on immediately - and a full serviced large community centre just to the north walking distance that was built on Greenbelt lands. Saying all that we strongly believe that these lands north of Kingston Road and south of Rossland Road between Audley Road and Lakeridge are prime areas for housing and removal of the Greenbelt..Note: We also know several of the farmers in that Block and they are all interest in getting those lands removed from Greenbelt as they cannot farm those areas any longer - they dont have any water available in wells due to all the development in the area and the new highway 412 construction has destroyed all the area and the pollution and traffic in the area have made it very difficult to farm any longer and thus another reason why these lands are not or should not be Greenbelt lands and should be used for housing and provide much needed affordable housing to Ajax - as we have no more land to expand to and this will just create less available homes and higher prices totally against what Mr Ford is looking to do...And we thank, Mr. Ford for this initiative to create more housing and more affordable housing because we have no idea how our kids and grad children will ever be able to afford a home
