As a Canadian youth I believe that when I disagree with this political decision I stand with thousands of my peers. As the next generation, we will have to live with the disruptive, dangerous, (and avoidable) consequences of Climate Change if this repeal continues. As the next generation, we will grow up in a world that already needs fixing thanks to our world leaders who did not act upon the solid facts. Climate change is real, worse than ever, and is happening right now. We must have effective and measurable Climate Change action so that my generation may continue to work towards a green and stable future. We must keep Cap and Trade in Ontario, as it is a regulation and a foundation for more innovative solutions. Unless the government has a better price on carbon to replace it, it needs to stay. For the environment and economy of my generation, and future generations to come.
